About Me

My Midwifery Journey and Passion

My Story

I first became interested in midwifery after the birth of my son in 1999. The experience was so empowering and transformative that as soon as he was born, I immediately said, "Let’s do that again." Three years later, when my daughter arrived, my passion for midwifery only deepened. Just three years after that, 24 hours after the birth of my second daughter, I received the exciting news that I’d been accepted onto a midwifery degree course.

During my training, my husband became a stay-at-home dad, a role he embraced for 12 years, allowing us to maintain a close-knit family dynamic. We cherish spending time together as a family, and it’s one of my greatest joys.

My career as an NHS midwife has given me experience in various settings—from obstetric and midwife-led units to community-based care and free-standing birthing units. While I enjoy all aspects of midwifery, my true passion lies in providing continuity and client-led care. This approach brings me immense job satisfaction, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a meaningful journey from start to finish..
